For five years, a high-energy lidar has been operational in Mindelo, Cape Verde, utilizing a distinctive green laser beam to enhance atmospheric research.
This lidar operates at night, reaching altitudes of up to 30 kilometers above the harbor, providing valuable data for scientists.
The initiative is part of the Leibniz Institute for Atmospheric Research, marking a significant milestone in the field of aerosol remote sensing.
